Bill Summary
Extends, until March 31, 2003, activities authorized by: (1) Part A (Block Grants to States for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) (TANF) of title IV (Grants to States for Aid and Services to Needy Families with Children and for Child-Welfare Services) of the Social Security Act; (2) section 510 (Program for Abstinence Education) of title V (Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant) of such Act; (3) subsection (b) (Entitlement to Matching Grant) of section 1108 (Additional Grants to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa of title XI (General Provisions) of such Act; and (4) section 1925 (Extension of Eligibility for Medical Assistance) of title XIX (Medicaid) such Act.Amends the Temporary Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 2002 to extend, until April 1, 2003, the January 1, 2003, termination date for the 13 week temporary extended unemployment compensation program.
