Bill Summary
Directs the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), to make annual grants, to the extent funds are made available for such grants, to federally recognized Indian tribes, tribal colleges and universities, and other eligible entities to provide an iron working training program that: (1) provides specialized classroom and on-the-job training in iron working skills to adult members of federally recognized Indian tribes; and (2) facilitates job placement upon program completion. Permits an entity receiving a grant to require such other criteria of the program and participants of the program as the entity considers appropriate to further the goals of the program. Requires, in order to be eligible for a grant, that an entity: (1) has experience in providing iron working training to Native Americans; and (2) has the facilities necessary to carry out such a program.
